James Bay Photography Project: Week 1
By joel on Jan 9, 2009 | In Images
I am beginning the new year with a renewed commitment to improve my photography skills. The only way I'm going to do that is by taking lots of pictures and getting them out there in the hopes that people will give me some feedback and advice. So I've developed a little plan that I hope will allow me to produce a lot of images without it becoming a tedious chore.
It's a pretty simple plan actually. I'm just going to make sure I take at least a few pictures everyday. Each week I will post my favorite snaps to my flickr account, and then chose a few of these to edit in photoshop for posting here on the JamesBay.org blog.
I'm not sure how long I can keep this up, but one of the things that I would like to get out of this project a record of how the neighbourhood changes over time. So I plan to keep it up at least as long as I live here.
Anyway, I hope enjoy the photographs. Sage advice and pointers are more than welcome. Please feel free to leave comments below, or on the images on my flickr page.
And don't forget this space is always open for you to display and promote your own creative projects of whatever sort. If we can digitize it then there's room for it on JamesBay.org!
